WHS Student of the Month
December 2025 Student of the Month – Adam Prior
Williamsville High School is pleased to announce that senior, Adam Prior, has been selected as the November Student of the Month. Adam was selected by the senior class sponsors on the basis of academic performance, extra-curricular participation, and personal traits. He will receive a cash award from the Williamsville State Bank and will be eligible for Student of the Year.
Adam is a hard-working student at Williamsville High School. In addition to his general education Adam is pursuing interest in resource management & Microsoft applications, current affairs, family consumer science, photography, and sports biology. Adam’s teachers would describe him as a reliable and hard-working student.
In addition to his studies, Adam also volunteers with the Big Buddy program, where high school students eat lunch with Junior High students throughout the week, and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Outside of school hours, Adam is a member of Westside Christian Church and annually volunteers with the WHS Community Food and Teen Gift Drive.
Adam has been a student athlete throughout his high school career. He has previously played on the football team and is a member of the cross-country and track and field teams. Adam has been honored to be selected as the team captain for his cross-country team this year and was the 2025 First Team Sangamon Conference for the 800m dash this past spring.
Adam is undecided on his college of choice but wants to continue his running career at a collegiate level while also studying business. He also is wanting to eventually become a real estate broker.

November 2025 Student of the Month – Dalton Root
Williamsville High School is pleased to announce that senior, Dalton Root, has been selected as the November Student of the Month. Dalton was selected by the senior class sponsors on the basis of academic performance, extra-curricular participation, and personal traits. He will receive a cash award of $250 from the Williamsville State Bank and will be eligible for Student of the Year.
Dalton is an exceptional student at WHS. He is 3rd in his class and has been on the high honor roll his entire high school career. He was inducted into the National Honors Society his sophomore year, has been recognized twice by the College Board National Recognition Program, and has been selected as a Scholar Athlete of the Week by the CW23 Friday Night Showdown.
In addition to his exemplary academic standing, Dalton has been a multi-sport athlete for the last four years. As a freshman, he started out on the WHS Football, Basketball and Baseball teams and has played on these teams since. Dalton was selected as a Varsity athlete for all three sports starting his sophomore year, has been a captain for his basketball team twice, is currently a co-captain for his football team, and on the football leadership council. To round out his athletic career, Dalton participates in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes group at Williamsville High School.
Outside of school and sports, Dalton finds time to give back to his community. He volunteers for the Williamsville/Sherman Food & Teen Gift Drive and works concessions, gates, and as a scoreboard operator for multiple groups including, the Basketball Holiday Tournament, JFL games, and the Youth Basketball Academy. Dalton has also assisted in the WHS Baseball and Basketball youth camps by helping coach future generations.
Dalton plans to attend a four-year university after graduation.

October 2025 Student of the Month – Chelsea Clack
Williamsville High School is pleased to announce that senior, Chelsea Clack, has been selected as the October Student of the Month. Chelsea was selected by the senior class sponsors on the basis of academic performance, extra-curricular participation, and personal traits. She will receive a $250.00 cash award from the Williamsville State Bank and will be eligible for Student of the Year.
Chelsea is a Straight-A student and has been on the high honor roll throughout high school. She has been a member of the National Honor Society since her Sophomore year and is the Vice-President of the WHS Chapter this school-year.
Chelsea is a well-rounded student by also being active in extra-curriculars, and in her community. She has participated in many sports, activities and clubs for two or more years of her time at WHS. These include the Girls Golf Team, Choir, Madrigals, Vocal Jazz, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the drama program, and the Bradley University Honor Choir. She has also competed multiple years in the Illinois Music Educators Association with the All-District Choir, Vocal Jazz, Solo and Ensemble Contest, and the Organizational Contest. Within these groups she has received many awards and recognitions, including but not limited to, 1st Place Medalist Honors at the IHSA Regional Golf Tournament and the 2025 Auburn Ryder Cup, Choir Leadership, Top Alto Audition Scorer and Soloist, ‘Superior’ in Vocal Duet, and ‘Best of Day’ in Vocal Trio and Jazz Ensemble.
In her spare time, Chelsea has volunteered much of her time to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with their vacation bible school and food pantry drive, as well as other support events for the Fine Arts Program, Vocal Boosters, Williamsville Community Center, and WHS Golf Program.
Next fall, Chelsea will be attending Missouri University of Science and Technology to study Biomedical Engineering. Congratulations to Chelsea and her parents, Gary and Teresa Clack.
September 2025 Student of the Month – Benjamin McCoy
Williamsville High School is pleased to announce that senior, Benjamin McCoy, has been selected as the September Student of the Month. Ben was selected by the senior class sponsors on the basis of academic performance, extra-curricular participation, and personal traits. He will receive a $250.00 cash award from the Williamsville State Bank and will be eligible for Student of the Year.
Ben is a dedicated student at WHS. He has been an active member of the National Honor Society since his Sophomore year, is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and has been a part of the Vocal Jazz and Madrigals program since he was a Freshman.
In addition to being an exemplary student, Ben is an athlete. He has been on the Bullets Cross-Country team all four years of high school and is taking on the roll of being a team manager his final year. In his career of participating in this program, Ben has received the most-improved award and the honorary Coach’s Award.
Outside of school, Ben is an active member of his church. He plays a part in the Praise Band and dedicates his efforts to the church Youth Group. Furthermore, Ben has a substantial work ethic. He is employed at a local golf course, welcoming customers and helping maintain the clubhouse, and has worked at a couple venues, assisting in customer intake at the hosted events.

2025 Student of the Year – Matthew Crouch
Williamsville High School is pleased to announce that senior Grant Allen has been selected as the 2025 WHS Student of the Year. Grant received a $2,500 award from Williamsville State Bank & Trust at the May 2025 Honors Night.
Matthew is number one in his class while also being an active member in his school. He has been a four-year member of Student Council, is this year’s co-president, is completing his fourth and final year on the WHS Football team, and has previously participated in the wrestling and swim teams. Matthew is an active member of the National Honor Society, the club’s secretary, is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes group.
All while being a highly involved high school senior, Matthew regularly participates in many community volunteer service programs, such as Williamsville Junior Football League and Williamsville Big Buddy Program, and holds employment at CVS as a certified Pharmacy Tech.
After graduation Matthew plans to attend Murray State University in Kentucky to obtain a doctorate in nurse anesthesia.
